The purpose of this project is to develop curriculum for a “Sustainability Camp”, a six day camp for Grade 6-7 students. The goal of the camp is to increase youth knowledge and awareness about the environment with the hope that increased awareness will help to modify the behaviour of future generations. |

In partnership with School District 70 (Alberni) this project prepares senior students for employment in the kayaking industry by earning the necessary industry certifications. The course focuses on water safety, wilderness first aid, boat handling skills, outdoor skills, camping skills, and leadership skills. The course also teaches students about the human and natural history of the CSUBR. |
